Stimulsoft Company announces the release of version 2010.3 of Stimulsoft Reports.

Changes and Improvements
Ability to sort groups by summary was added. To sort the group by its summary in the GroupHeaderBand three new properties were added. These are SummarySortDirection used for sorting direction by summary; SummaryExpression is an expression for the summary, SummaryType a function type of calculating summary.
When first running the report designer, it can be difficult for a developer to understand all the properties of the components in the properties panel. To simplify this task, the configuration in the properties panel was added. There are three configurations: basic, standard, and professional. Depending on the configuration, the amount of visible properties of components is changed.
The new version provides two new data adapters. The first adapter is designed for dot Connect Universal provider. The adapter is available on the Downloads page of our web-site. The second adapter is designed for accessing MS Access database. The adapter is built into the report engine and can be used without additional configuration.
The new tool Import.Rtf provides the ability to import files in RTF (Rich Text Format) into an internal *.mrt format of Stimulsoft Reports.
Five new themes for the UI are added to our products for WinForms and four new themes for Silverlight. Themes are not only colors but also functional performance.
In Reports. Silverlight the Chart component is implemented. It allows displaying graphs in reports. It supports various types of diagrams.
In previous versions of our product it was not possible to use data from business objects when creating charts. This lack of functionality was corrected in the new version. Data from business objects can be used along with data from data sources.
The previous version of the report viewer for Silverlight supported printing only via exporting a report to the Adobe PDF format and then a report could be printed from the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The new version of the report viewer now supports printing using built-in Silverlight facility. This extension allows printing the report without using Adobe PDF format. Old and new printing methods are available from the drop down menu when clicking the Print button.

Documentation
With the new version of the product the updated documentation is delivered. Great many new articles, step-by-step instructions on creating reports, articles which describe many properties of components are added. Work with documentation has become much easier. Also in the Video section of our site 25 new videos appeared. When using training resource materials one will receive everything needed for reducing the time and effort to design reports.
